A brief history of Cardiff City Stadium
Officially opened in 2009 to take the place of the beloved Ninian Park, Cardiff City Stadium is home to Cardiff City Football Club. This spectacular stadium’s state-of-the-art, all-seater bowl design can hold over 33,000 people on matchdays with multiple spaces for non-matchday events, including a large space able to accommodate up to 750 guests.
Over the years, Cardiff City Stadium has staged a number of international sporting events and major concerts, including the UEFA Super Cup Final, Elton John and Westlife.
